Frank was incredibly helpful during the ordering process for some brass bushes I needed made up for a custom car part. I had the dimensions I needed but I have no understanding of the required tolerances etc, Frank was able to copy an existing bush I had and got the original and all the new bushes sent back to me in under 2 weeks, I will definitely be using Profin HD again in the future

What a brilliant experience from start to finish! I was introduced to Frank at Profin H.D. (by a friend who had already used their services) as "a very useful guy to know" - they weren't wrong! Just a bit of background - my business is manufacturing and we have 3 production lines. One of these machines had developed a crack in a casting and the original manufacturer has long since gone out of business. I had spoken to a few places about getting another casting made and the prices were completely cost prohibitive. I asked Frank to come down to take a look and see what he thought of an idea we had to make the part out of several machined blocks and shafts etc. I knew we were talking to the right guy when after less than 2 minutes looking at our sketch said "that isn't going to work", before point out a pretty massive flaw in our plan. Frank then spent time taking measurements and notes before announcing that he would be in touch asap. Less than a week later he came back to me with a quote and a detailed plan including a 3d model and drawings of individual parts with tolerances etc to match bearings, pulleys, keyed shafts etc. I accepted the quote and just under 2 weeks later he was back on site, with the parts helping us to put it all together. He had even added a belt tensioner so it was easier to replace the belts as they wear. The whole thing has been running for the last 2 months flawlessly and I couldn't be more grateful. Frank took my (terrible) hand drawings and description of a part needed for a vintage sewing machine and was able to manufacture the part perfectly to fit which has got the machine back up and running. The communication between us was fantastic to ensure the result was exactly what I needed. I cannot fault the quality of the product created and it was with me far quicker than I expected. Stood head and shoulders above everyone, willing to take on things for the little guy when the bigger places wouldn't. Absolutely incredible to work with from start to finish and has knowledge beyond belief of metals and the whole production process. I had a small part that I needed multiples of, which I have been cutting from metal for years. Many places took my ideas or samples and said they can do it, but when it came to actually doing it most didn't want to know or set the price astronomical high so that they didn't have to,  and thats just the ones that didn't want 1000 MOQ.. Frank has been stellar from start to finish, and took my sample not only copying it exactly how I had it, but also refined it that little bit more to make it beyond what I thought was doable. Not only that, from delivery of stock to having the finished product in hand, was all in only a week for more than 70 units. Anyone out there who has an idea, or is a small fish who needs a little help to actually get somewhere - Give Profin a call. Forget the bigger guys, they just aren't worth the extra. I could not recommend Frank and Profin highly enough! I needed a part that’s obsolete now and I couldn’t even get him the specs so I just sent him the component from the other side, he made me an exact replica and it is perfect. Great communication that was super fast and the attention to detail throughout the process was second to none. Also the price was very reasonable and the turn around time was fast.
